Cosplayers from the local DFW area will be meeting August 19th in Iriving to meet and greet each other before the festivities begin at AnimeFest in Dallas. I will be there taking photos of the event and of any cospalyers that show up in costume. It’s kind of a bring your own stuff picnicy kinda thingy. Hmmmm… what to bring? WATER. I think I shall contribute by bringing an ice chest of ice cold aqua loco! Hope to see you all there!

WHEN: September 15th, 2007 (Weather Permitting)
WHERE: Japanese Botanical Gardens of Fort Worth, Texas
TIME: 12 (Noon) to 3pm

MINS AND MAXES: I would like a minimum of 5 cosplayers and I can handle up to 15 max. This is a first come, first serve basis. Please RSVP if you wish to attend the photoshoot by sending an e-mail to: kuragiman-at-otakuhigh-dot-com. If I cannot get at least 5 cosplayers on the venue this photoshoot will be cancelled.

COSTS: Nothing for you. Just bring your costume and yourself. Your admission into the garden will be covered. If you damage anything in the park you bought it.

WEAPON POLICY FOR THE GARDEN: No real weapons. All prop weapons must be listed and given to the Garden manager so they have it on record. If you don’t know if your weapon will be allowed or not call (817)871-7685 and tell them about your weapon you plan to bring. They will let you know if it is allowable or not.

Meet up will be between 11am and noon in Parking Lot “J”. Consult the main garden map. It is located on the Southern end of the garden grounds just outside the Japanese Garden entrance point. This will allow any of you with more extravagant costumes to get ready before we enter the garden at noon. I’ll have an ice chest with me full of bottled water for all to partake of when you are thirsty since it will most likely get a bit toasty. There are of course water fountains scattered across the grounds too.

This is a great opportunity for you to show off your cosplay work, practice your poses, meet new local cosplayers and for me to get in some valuable camera time before Atsuicon descends upon us at the beginning of August.

If you have any more questions feel free to e-mail me or ask here!

Oh, and one more thing. When you RSVP please list which outfit(s)/character(s) you plan to do at the shoot. This will help me get the titles of the photos correct in the gallery.

Hope to see you all there!
