I replaced my dead external HDD with a new Maxtor 500 gig monolith looking drive that has a glowing eye on the front of it like Hal 9000 from 2001; A Space Odessey. Bigger, Faster, Stronger… inspired by Daft Punk. I’ll be moving all the refuge files back on the drive today. The good thing about this drive is it has a 5 year warranty vs. the 1 year craptastic warranty of the former drive. It will probably still break after just a year of use but at least I can get my files restored for free if the drive fails because of faulty workmenship. Now I can get back to working on photos!
